Miss Ghana Pageant

Hamida Yakubu My personal motto comes from Mother Teresa who once said “be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. It is through the power of these words that i have been able to overcome many lifechallenges. I am Hamida Awentemi Yakubu and I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to help them have an uplifting experience. I am currently in my final year at Radford University College studying business adminstration and majoring in marketing. I am dedicated , outgoing and a team player. I have a good sense of humor and I aspire to be a lawyer in future. Charity is something I love to do. This passion motivated me to join this years Miss Ghana pageant to create awareness on the rampant nature of teen age pregnancies in our communities , influence and empower our young ones through sex education.

Priscilla Gameli
I am the elegant Priscilla Nana Akua Gameli. 2nd year Human Resource Administration student of Central University. Very open minded, adventurous, forgiving and Loves music. My favorite meal is yam and egg stew. Becoming the Diamond Jubilee queen means a bigger voice to sound the clarion call on the plight of all those unfortunate children who’s idea of a home is on the streets. I will appeal to your sense of humanity, your social responsibility and the belief system you practice to give these children a glimmer of hope that we as a people are more than a 50pesewa coin offer for cleaning our windscreens.

Adelita Tettegah
Adelita Kabuki Ami Tettegah is my name.I am 18 years of age and a student of the University of Ghana studying Psychology and in my second year in school. My hobbies are singing and crocheting. My ambition in life is to be a role model who will help society positively that is by touching lives of the less privileged and also be a beacon of hope for the people of my community and Ghana as a whole. My motto in life is ‘ No one can make you successful,the will to succeed comes from within’. I’ve internalized it to the point of understanding that my success and endeavours doesn’t depend on anyone else,and that includes a possible failure. I want to be the Diamond Jubilee Queen because I want to showcase my beauty and intelligence to the world,my passion to help the less privileged in society and also to show that I can confidently represent my nation,Ghana with pride.

Millicent Dzudzor
Millicent Dzifa Dzudzor is my name, a 21year old past Bsc. Administration student of the University of Ghana. I am described resilient, ambitious and a “goal-getter”. I aspire to be a renowned Entrepreneur, Social activist and successful Public Procurement Officer by age 35. At my leisure time, I read novels, listen to music or go swimming. Miss Ghana 2017 because, I believe the adverse effects of social media has had its fair troll on the Ghanaian lady to say the least and at 60years, I see the need to resound the awareness of the power of a woman: other thanher sexuality, which I have dubbed THE SYNERGY OF A WOMAN

Selina Osei Fordjour
My name is Selina Osei Fordjour, 22 years old and a final year student of Ghana Technology university college studying accounting. My hobbies are watching TV,listening to music and reading. I am God fearing,respectful and humble. As a person I believe that we are all unique in our own way and for that we should be bold to face out fears and challenge ourselves out of our comfort zone. My favourite food is Banku and stew. My ambition is to be self reliant, independent and a voice for women and children and also become an entrepreneur to create jobs for others and myself. If given the opportunity to be Miss Ghana 2017,i will use the platform to educate people on the importance of keeping proper sanitation and also work with the Miss Ghana foundation to help fight streetism, aged, health,education and other social issues. Perpetual Acquah
I am a self motivated young lady. I see everyday as an endeavor to do better than yesterday. I’m hard working and very dedicated. I love to sing and dance. I strongly believe in team work so enjoy playing basketball. I’m a student of University of Ghana, offering Business Administration. I want to be an international business woman. Miss Ghana because, I believe in impacting lives and empowering women. I strongly believe as women, we can raise the banner of discipline to ensure road safety. My name is Acquah Perpetual Amuadu.

Marigold Frimpong
My name is Marigold Frimpong ,and currently a final year undergraduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism reading Public Relations.I just completed my national service as a Clinical Assistant at Community Clinic in Abossey Okai . In the near future i hope to work as a Public Relations Practitioner in a reputable company advocating on vulnerable groups through cooperate social responsibility. I love art and bright colors.I am willing to serve and infect people with my bright smile.

Eunice Abotsie
Hi , my name is Miss Eunice Saida Abotsie a wonderful daughter of the upper west Region and proudly representing the region in this year’s Miss Ghana competition. I am 24 years of age , a lover of jollof rice , banku and okro soup and basket ball. I love listening to music, cooking and cleaning. I would describe myself as an interesting and adventurous young lady who is like a book, until you read it you would not know the content. Am a quiet , calm person, passion driven, a hard worker, Dedicated and loves what she wants to do.. And that makes me the perfect person to be the Diamond jubilee Queen. I believe effort with determination brings success as a product. Thank you.

Joyner Adase
Joyner Abena Adase is my name born on the 16th of November 1993. I am 5′ 7″
feet tall and a Fashion and Textile Design student from Accra Technical
University. I love art, music and reading. My aspiration in life is to be
successful, to be happy and to influence society positively. My dream has
always been to help children. This is because, they are the future of
this country. I am a very persuasive and determined person so when am
crowned Miss Ghana 2017 I’ll use my ability to raise funds to help solve
various social challenges especially streetism.

Benua Ayaribire
Ayaribire Benua Magdalene Nmaah are names, I am a fun loving person. I love to cook, sing, dance, posing for the camera and most importantly putting smiles on people faces. My ambition in life is to be a Philanthropist, an Entrepreneur, a Television host, a Mentor, Motivational Speaker and many others. My mission is to be kind every where I go and my vision is to live beyond myself and be a blessing to others. I should be crowned Miss Ghana because I believe in hard work, determination, focusing, kindness, women empowerment, prayers and smiles.

Antoinette Azumah

My name is Antoinette Azumah,a student of the University for Development Studies. I am 21 years of age. My fervent desire to support and promote the welfare of others has informed my decision to become a philanthropist, a medical Doctor and a great mother to my children. I love to read and I’m a good listener too. My motto is “to always put in relentless effort, to achieve my goals and never limit myself”.I want to be the diamond jubilee Queen because the pageant transforms young and ambitious girls like myself into strong and independent women in society and I want that for myself,I don’t want to disappoint the needy children who believe in me and have high hopes that things would begin to get better if I’m given this opportunity.

Gloria Ankamah
My name is Gloria Akua Ankamah Ababio representing the brong-Ahafo region.I am 21 years old and a graduate of central university. I read communication studies where i specialised in broadcast journalism and public relations. Reading and counselling are my hobbies. I am simple, calm and open to everyone. I aspire to be a lawyer, a public relations practitioner and an international Journalist. Oheneyere Gifty Anti is my role model. My motto in life is with God all things are possible.

Theola Ofei-Budu
The name is Theola Ofei-Budu 20 years of age, A level 400 student of central university , I love to read ,dance and listen to music . Am an optimistic and easy going person. I believe in self encouragement and hard work. My motto is to positively impact the life of people around me and in the society. It is my ambition to do better in life and put smiles on the faces of the less privileged.I should be crowned MissGhana diamond jubilee because am determined and ready to work hard to put smiles on the faces of people in the society aside that I will be a role model to girls and ladies who are like me.

Wilhelmina Nettey-Dodd
My name is Wilhelmina Nettey-Dodd, a student of the University of Cape Coast studying Economics in Social Science. I am twenty years old and I come from Elmina. I love to sing, listen to music and watch movies. My mother is my role model because she is exactly what I want to be like, compassionate and disciplined. My value that I hold dearest in life is to respect and to be respected, to be a friend to everyone and to be of help to others. I have dreamt of being an entrepreneur and also to set up a foundation for the less privileged but talented hands in creative arts. I want to be Miss Ghana because I want to change our communities basing on sanitation since the Miss Ghana brand has a larger platform to help me embark on my project.

Abigail Dzamefe
My name is Abigail Afi Akpene Dzamefe. 22 years of age. I love to cook, swim and listen to music. I am very passionate about children and I aspire to be a pediatrician or pediatric nurse in future. My philosophy in life is “if thinking about it won’t change or solve it, then stop thinking about it “. I want to become the diamond jubilee queen because it will give me the platform to reach out to the whole nation and the world as whole to effectively create the awareness and prevention of cervical cancer.

Nora Adu-Gyempeh
Adu-Gyempeh Nora Saamaa is my name, a 22 years level 400 student of the University of Ghana studying political Science . Representing the Brong Ahafo region. l hope to be a criminal lawyer, a model and a motivational speaker,I know it is not very easy, but serving the nations and its people is my dream. I enjoy cooking, dancing, watching movies and reading novels. My motto in life is “Succes does not come easy, but with determination and God my side I shall surely be victorious. I want to be the diamond jubilee queen because I share some values with the Miss Ghana brand which is beauty with a purpose amongst my core values, family and striving for excellence. I want to join a family of unique women that owe a great deal of growth to the society and make an impact on the life’s of little ones in the society and being a role model.

Susana Nablise
My name is Nablise Anutiga Susana. A graduate of Bolgatanga polytechnic. Am representing the Northern Region. I am not just beautiful, smart and intelligent but am also on a mission to change the world one step at a time. Suzzy as am affectionately called by my friends, am sociable, compassionate, extremely hilarious to be with and make good use of every opportunity that comes my way. I belief that this world is big and there is always a place for everyone. I love to help people and see them happy in my own little way hence the reason why I joined this year’s Miss Ghana.

Linda Serwaa
 Boateng
Communication is what makes a team strong, Linda Serwaa
Boateng is a 24 year old communication studies student at the Central
University. I am outspoken, confident and love to live by principles. My
hobbies are reading novels, singing and dancing. My philosophy in life
says ‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going” I measure success
based on an impact made in someone’s life and with that, my ambition is to
be a symbol of hope for the less privileged. I want to see young
individuals grow and develop their potentials and I can do this through
the charitable arm of Miss Ghana foundation to leave a blueprint in the
lives of the helpless future leaders. Thank you.

Roselyn Senam Tay
I am Roselyn Senam Tay,representing the Volta  Region of Ghana.I listen to
music as a hobby. Having spent most of my life with a hardworking mother
has instilled in me the principles of hard work, discipline, love and
selflessness. My life motto is, fall asleep with a wish and wake up with a purpose.
I plan to set up a charitable organization called “Protect my Future”,
with the aim of eradicating Child Trafficking in Ghana.
When crowned Miss Ghana 2017, I’d use the prestige gained from the Miss
Ghana Organization to make my charitable organization a success.

Margaret Mwintuur Dery
I go by the name Margaret Mwintuur Dery and I am 23 years of age. My
ambition in life is to become a woman of substance, whose life will be an
inspiration to young girls. I live by the rule hard work achieves great
things. I Iove to read and travel a lot. I want to be the diamond jubilee
queen because the title itself defines the essence of being a unique woman
in all aspects. It will be an opportunity for me to pursue a passion of
being part of a foundation whose objective is to positively impact lives
of the less privileged in the society.
